Christmas

If you are one of those people who is not the best at gift wrapping, then read on for some basic suggestions for how to wrap Christmas gifts the most pain-free way possible!

1. To start, you will need a roll of wrapping paper, a pair of scissors and tape.

2. Wrap gift on a table or surface that affords you plenty of room.

3. Carefully unroll the paper, and then place the gift you need to wrap in the center of the paper.

4. Make sure that you have rolled out enough paper to cover the gift on all sides. Lift up each side of the paper around the gift to determine if this is indeed the case.

5. Cut the wrapping paper in a straight line.

6. Now take the gift and center it on the piece of wrapping paper.

7. Take the two opposites sides of the paper and make sure that you tape it as snugly as possible around the Christmas gift. Both sides should be as evenly matched as possible.

Ready to continue?

8. The gift now lies open at opposite ends.

9. Take hold of one of the open ends, and then fold the wrapping paper on the top side flat to the box in which you are wrapping the gift. Make sure you crease the left and right sides.

10. Now that the left and right sides are creased, fold them toward the middle in order to form a triangle with the wrapping paper on the bottom.

11. Carefully tape the triangle to the box.

12. Now it is time to repeat steps 10 and 11 for the other end of the gift. After this you are finished and can move onto the next Christmas gift.

Do a close inspection of the gift to make sure that the edges are all smooth and the wrapping paper lies as flat as it should be. To cut down on the stress involved in wrapping gifts all at once, wrap gifts as you buy them.

Wrapping paper can be expensive. To cut down on costs, never be wasteful. Follow the carpenter’s rule of “measure twice, cut once”. If you cut a piece of paper that is too small, don’t throw it away. Use it for another gift or use it for a gift tag. Conserve to the best of your ability.
