If you’re interested in a mint-flavored party beverage with a little more edge to it, try this:

*Blend mudslide mix (there are lots of good brands for this, most of them are about 14%) with ice
*Mix five parts of this with one part Rumpleminze (50% peppermint schnapps)

Tastes like a peppermint patty, gets you drunk like only hard liquor could do.

Thanks for including the Parenting Press project! We have projects like this almost every month in “News for Parents,” which is free at http://www.parentingpress.com/ezine.html. Since January we’ve been doing a “RRRRR” series, with “Re-purpose, Re-use, Repair, Recycle, etc.” as our motto. Saturday I used the origami boxes I’d made from advertising flyers and magazine covers for planting seeds—they’ll biodegrade when I have seedlings large enough to plant outdoors!

Happy new year!!! I hope everyone has started it well. This time round I didnt need to host a new year party, and I enjoyed it because hosting a new year party is stressful and tiring. It was a very simple but interesting party, there was no theme so it was just a free style new year party.

I prefer having very few Christmas decorations in my house. Too much of it makes the house look like a witch-doctor’s house. A simple Medium sized Christmas tree decorated with few ribbons, Christmas lights is just enough for me.

When we were kids we used to be so enthusiastic abt christmas, we used to decorate the christmas tree as early as the first week of December. But as we grew, the enthusiasm faded away. These days I do christmas without the christmas tree, I know that to some people, thats a crime LOL.
