It's Thanksgiving morning, and your kids are bored. Although it's an afternoon filled with family, friends, eating, and talking, the morning most likely is filled with peeling, chopping, baking, boiling, table setting, and cleaning. While the kids may want to help with this list of to-dos, they are bound to want alternate entertainment.
Anything with a screen may seem like an optimal choice, but why not amuse your children with an easy craft? Just purchase the needed items, and you will have amusement and decorations in one package! (Please note, younger children may need some guidance or direction with these crafts.)

Remember the Children on Children’s Day
by Patti November 12th, 2009 | Birthdays
Children are such an important part of our world. It is fitting, therefore, that there is a holiday set aside to honor and celebrate the little ones in our lives. But here is where it gets confusing. There is not just one Children’s Day annually, but actually there are a number that are observed throughout the globe. Here we look at the different Children’s Days starting with the most common, which is Universal Children’s Day, celebrated on November 20th.
Universal Children’s Day was created by the UN General Assembly in 1954. They recommended that all countries choose a day to remember

Honoring Veterans on Their Special Day
by Patti November 5th, 2009 | Veterans Day
My grandfather was a World War II veteran who used to recount stories about what it was like living back in war time. While he never talked about anything grisly or disturbing to his granddaughters, I got a good idea of what it must have been like to be living in those turbulent years.
On Veterans Day we honor our military personnel including the armed forces, air force and navy for their bravery and courage during times when the world has been at war. In the United State there are two days a year set aside to honor those who serve
